Who we are …

We provide Personal Autism Consulting and Services. We are committed to serving children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, here at Effective Interventions Inc. we serve our families with personalized & distinctive quality in researched based interventions for their child, parent & family support and advocacy in dealing with all areas pertaining to raising a child on the Autism Spectrum. Our knowledgeable and proficient staff is dedicated to developing and implementing an intervention plan based on your child’s specific needs. We are committed to helping your child achieve their greatest potential.

What we believe …

We believe all behavior is purposeful and or serves a communicative or adaptive function. It is our primary responsibility to establish positive relationships with our learners and their families.Research tells us that learners are more successful in acquiring, utilizing and retaining skills which are taught under motivational and reinforcing circumstances. The groundwork which we set for our learners, as they learn how to learn, is one of the most vital components in successfully teaching appropriate behaviors and other functional skills. We strive to build a positive environment for our learners so that it can be as productive and effective as possible. The families we serve can be confident in knowing data based decisions are being utilized in the creation and implementation of their child's intensive programming. 

What we do …

Effective Interventions Inc. (E.I.Inc.)provides services to private paying clientele , as well as district contracted CSE ABA hours. We offer personal autism services & consulting. We provide 1 on 1 services on site or in your home or school. The development of intervention programs are viewed as a collaborative process with family members. To formalize and verify our interventions, we utilize the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to systematically guide us in developing your child’s program. The science allows us to monitor our progress with your child and your child’s progress with us. For those needing comprehensive curriculum development The Assessment to Basic Language and Learner Skills (Partington & Sundberg, 1999) is one of our fundamental resources in developing appropriate and functional goals for our learners. Our behavior analytic team is experienced in developing individual programs designed specifically for your child. We can also serve as an extention of an already existing program, if you only need trained ABA instructors who are fluent in following ABA teaching procedures and methodology.

Effective Interventions Inc. combines 1 to 1 Intensive -Structured Teaching with Natural Environment Teaching, based on your child’s needs, to promote generalization and functionality of their skills.

What makes us unique, is that we also offer...

Family advocacy & training, pertaining to all facets of having a family affected by Autism. We have access to an exclusive collection of learning resources that cover a variety of topics pertaining to educating and parenting a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Our families are also welcomed to participate in support meetings and workshops that are accessible through the library. There is a wealth of information in this space, which we look forward to sharing it with our families.


PERSONAL AUTISM SERVICES & CONSULTING:

Extended Staff Training
Staff involved outside of this facility who work with the learner can be trained in effective teaching strategies and or behavior management procedures that are utilized with the learner at the on site facility. *This service will take place with the learner on site at our facility or at your home or school program by appointment only.

Home Visits/Family Training
Home visits are intended to assist in parental and family carry over treatment from the facility to home. This service can also be utilized to assist parents in managing problem behavior as well as learn how to capture and contrive learning opportunities in daily parent - child interactions.

Consulting
The facility can be utilized to guide and provide feedback for families who have an existing A.B.A home program and staff. Currently limited availability *This service entails visits to our facility for team meetings as well as in home visits for in home staff trainings. This option is ideal for those who have a home supervisor/team leader in order to implement, make changes and move curriculum along. .

IEP Goals & Objectives Documents
Staff who are involved hands on with the learner will develop, along with the family, a comprehensive list of goals and objectives in various skill domains, that are appropriate for that learner. It is a practical tool to have available at IFSP,CPSE and CSE meetings to determine appropriate placement for learners. A printed customized document will be prepared for the individual learner.

Comprehensive Learner Assessments
Our Full day comprehensive learner assessment, takes place with two of our on site behavioral consultants. This assessment is intended to provide families,and if applicable, their home/school staff, with a general sense of abilities and deficits of the learner across a variety of skill domains. Our main focus will be on the learning style and abilities of the learner. We will concentrate mainly on any deficits in their functional communication skills as well as any impeding problem behavior. The outcome of this assessment is intended to provide a starting point for teaching strategies that may be effective in making the child's teaching environment more conducive to learning. Hands on teaching procedures will also be implemented the last part of the workshop. The assessment will be followed up with a report that will have recommended skills and applicable teaching procedures.
*This service takes place at our on site facility & lasts approximately 4  hours. Formal report is generated within 2 weeks of the consult, video taping is allowed and encouraged.

Program Reviews
Our Program Reviews are conducted and supervised by our on site staff and behaioral consultants. The review will provide feedback for existing home programs,regarding what is currently being implemented (including but not limited to program suggestions and teaching procedures) for the goal of improving a learner's current program focus. This review will be followed by a report of what possible changes or enhancements to current programming should be implemented.
*This service takes place at our on site facility & lasts approximately 3 hours.Formal report is generated within 2 weeks of the consult, video taping is allowed and encouraged.

Core Evaluation
Standardized testing will be attempted with the individual, as well as an attempt to drive a measure of cognitive/intellectual functioning. Many possible tools, based on the testing abilities and language capabilities of the child will be utilized. A written report detailing results and making recommendations for programming directions will be provided. This comprehensive evaluation will be conducted by our consulting Licensed Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

BCBA & BCABA Supervision Program We are pleased to introduce our new Certification Supervision Program. The program will entail: designing, implementing and monitoring behavior analysis programs for persons and or overseeing the implementation of behavior analysis program by others. Supervised experience includes face-to-face meetings for at least two hours every two weeks between the applicant and the on staff BCBA Supervisor. During the supervision meetings, the supervisor discusses and evaluates the behavior analysis programs designed by the applicant. This program will be tailored to meet your specific needs.
