Characteristics of our instructors:
- Candidates must be/have BA or higher in related field (special education,psychology,speech etc)
- Experienced in working with children with behavioral/communication disorders, utilizing the priniciples of ABA,Undertanding of the analysis of verbal behavior is a plus.
- Experienced in teaching using DTT and incidental teaching / NET
- Reliable and committed (we ask for atleast 1 year work committment)
- Take initiative
- Be creative and organized
- Have high level of energy,be motivating, fun and dynamic during teaching.
- Have ablity to multitask (implement programs and procedures,take data, remain motivating)
Job Description
Implement individualized academic, communication & basic learner skill programs using ABA during a 2 hour 1 on 1 session in a private therapy room
You will utilize discrete trial presentations as well as incidental natural environment teaching
Collect data on skills targeted.
Graph this data and maintain students data sheet & progress/program book daily
Assist in the data analysis when developing new programs & procedures with Directors/Head Instructors
Write a weekly summary if your learner's progress for parents/school program/home program
Implement any applicable behavior plans for maladaptive behavior plans consistently
Be energetic, intuitive, fun , consistent & creative
Be prepared for a case load of no more than 12 (2) hour sessions per week.
Make/Gather materials for the child's program (laminating, printing etc)
